Born in 1983 in Minsk, Belarus, Yahor JeiHalo is a celebrated musician whose journey has transcended borders and cultures. With an early passion for the arts, Yahor’s formative years were spent mastering his craft. He graduated from music school, art college, and the prestigious Academy of Arts in Minsk, Belarus, where he cultivated a deep appreciation for classical and contemporary music traditions. His commitment to music and art was evident from an early age, as he explored various disciplines to enrich his creative expression.
In 2012, Yahor’s musical aspirations took him to India, where he was awarded an ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) scholarship. This prestigious opportunity allowed him to immerse himself in the profound heritage of Indian Classical Music. From 2012 to 2015, he trained intensively under the mentorship of renowned artists. He mastered the bansuri flute under the guidance of maestro Harsh Vardhan and delved into the Drupad vocal tradition with the esteemed Nirmalaya Dey. This transformative experience not only enhanced his technical skills but also deepened his understanding of the spiritual essence of music, blending his Western classical foundation with the meditative and emotive qualities of Indian traditions.
Over the years, Yahor has performed solo in diverse settings across the globe, captivating audiences in Poland, India, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and his home country of Belarus.
